I grew up in England but have lived more than half my life in Türkiye. I am passionate about my adopted country whose beautiful landscapes, rich culture and fascinating history make their way into much of my writing. I also love the language and, after several years teaching English, started helping other people learn Turkish, using a course I designed and wrote myself.

Aside from teaching, I spent many years working in our family hotel, whose guests provided inspiration for some of the characters in my books! In my free time, I like to read, walk my dogs, hike in the mountains and travel, in Türkiye and further afield.

I have always enjoyed writing, and had some articles published in a newspaper (you can find a couple on the ‘writing’ page). I spent a long time writing and rewriting my first novel, but I now have three published (all available on Amazon) and several more in various stages of progress. It feels as though I have found my voice and am fulfilling my ambition.
